What's new
A big month. Your dashboard became a workspace with an agent that reads, plans, rewrites and checks your email. Voice matching now learns from your own writing. There is a free email tone checker, every new account gets 14 days of Pro, and the Gmail button got smarter.
New: a workspace with an agent
Your dashboard is now one workspace. Paste a draft and the agent first tells you how it will land ("polite, but the question comes after two apologies"), says what it plans to change, then rewrites it with every change marked. Last, it checks that the names, dates, numbers, links and questions in your draft are still there, and tells you in red if anything went missing.
Open your workspacePolish, Friendlier, Formal and Shorter cover most emails. For everything else, tell the agent in your own words, like "say no politely" or "add a deadline". When a rewrite is done, Next runs another action on the result, so you can make it shorter after making it friendlier.
Your voice, for real
Voice matching now learns from the emails you paste in and the drafts you write, not from ToneSwap's own rewrites. It reads much more of your writing than before, and uses the emails you tag as email for email rewrites.
Add your writingIf you always open with "Hey" and sign off with "Cheers", rewrites do too. If you write with dashes or semicolons, ToneSwap keeps them instead of tidying them away. The voice score now waits for at least 40 words, so it only scores what it can measure.
New: a free email tone checker
Paste any email and see its tone, how it will land, the specific words causing problems, and what to change first, with counts of apologies, hedges and exclamation marks. Free, no account, and it does not use any of your rewrites.

The Rewrite button next to Send now shows how your draft reads and flags anything the rewrite dropped, right inside Gmail. Rolling out with version 1.9.6.
Get it for GmailThe toolbar popup now has the situations (Reply, Follow up, Say no, Apologize, Ask), and a Replace button that puts the rewrite straight back where you selected it. If the text on the page has changed, it copies the rewrite instead of writing in the wrong place.
The rewrite panel no longer runs off the bottom of the screen. Right-click Rewrite only ever replaces the text you selected. A first-time tip in Gmail shows where the button is.
Simpler, faster, more reliable
The whole site, the extension and our emails moved to one cleaner design, with light and dark modes. Pages now appear almost instantly on reload, without flashing or filling in piece by piece.
If the AI times out or is busy, you get a clear message and the rewrite is given back. Every feature works this way now.
We retired Studio and the tools almost nobody used, so the workspace, the tone checker and the Gmail button get all the attention. Old links take you to the nearest tool that stayed.
